The deep seat helps the baby be more secure so he or she will not fall to the side and slump over. I get that the design needs to be that way and I get why a baby should be sitting deeply in the seat with a bouncer that is designed that way. However, because of the material that most brands use for the bouncer, they need a deeper seat.

In that video, I talk about how the Bjorn doesn’t have a deep seat and I love it for the design that it is. I do talk about the deep seat in my video about the Baby Bjorn. Just saying, I love the mobile option, because dang, babies love it. However, it was surprisingly challenging to bend over and put my baby in the bouncer seat without hitting it against the dangling toys with my little to no abs on my postpartum belly. I know, I probably could have figured it out if I had been a little more spatially aware. The toys would almost always hit my baby on the head as I was putting her in and then I’d have to redo the whole process of soothing and cooing to sleep. Click for Best Price on the Snuggapuppy Deluxe Bouncer Because it was a pain, I would try to put my baby into the bouncer with the toys on it already. If you like a mobile, why would you want to get rid of it? Well let me tell you, I used to have a bouncer that had a halo toy gym that would go over it and it was an absolute nightmare! It was difficult to remove the gym, but it was possible. I also love a good mobile that I can get rid of if I want to. Here are some of the features about it that I love the most. However, if your budget is much lower, then the Fisher Price Deluxe Bouncer might be the one for you. If you are someone like me who is planning on using the bouncer as much as possible, you might want to invest in a bouncer that is high quality. The Fisher Price Sweet Dreams Deluxe Bouncer is another great option. But just because I love the Baby Bjorn bouncer, doesn’t mean that there aren’t other good options out there as well. Now I'm one of those unsatisfied customers dealing with Graco knowing the replacement (when it gets here because they didn't ship it expedited) may have the same problem. If you have read my review of the Baby Bjorn bouncer or seen my video review (seen below!) about it, you know that I am a bit obsessed. The thing that grinds me is I saw the reviews that showed this problem and saw it still had good reviews so took a risk. Now I'm going through the awful process of warranty because I was past the return window (bought April 17, LO came home May 27, broke on May 30). Restarting the unit and unplugging/plugging it back in didn't fix it. Less than 10 seconds in, it stops (no noises, just stops) and the light indicating speed blinks. Now when you go to start it, it softly clicks and begins to slowly glide. After less than an hour of runtime over 3 days, never going over speed 2 (LO less than a week old), it stopped working. We have a Fisher-Price swing upstairs and Duoglider downstairs (were hoping to use in reclined position for supervised naps and up for swing). It has a known defect and Graco still sells it. In fact, I have put him in it after eating so he's a little more upright after eating so I can fold clothes. I haven't heard of or noticed in my baby any spiting up in the bouncer. Swings after a meal tend to cause spitup, even when the seat is upright. If you want to use to prevent spitup, I recommend a bouncer.

Just like the FP one, there's no minimum weight. This is the bouncer that sits in the bathroom so I can shower or go. My baby, who hates being put down, is content for up to an hour or two. Regardless, the reason I bring this one up is baby LOVES it. I don't think he'll be at the right height for the seatbelt until he's near the max weight when reviewers complain the autobounce doesn't work. The version I have (Raylan or "Grey" on Amazon) doesn't have an infant insert either which might make a difference. The bounce intensity is excellent for small babies, not a huge bounce if you were thinking that. However, the FP stuff we have is built with the seatbelt lower than most other brands and I don't believe they have a minimum weight, just a max. We like it well enough, but don't love it. We have 2 bouncers, one is a Fisher-Price brand that matches our swing.
